#GriffFIX complete

Finally we get to learn Griff's history, why he's so closed off, a man of few words.... let me just say you wont be disappointed. I stumbled into Griff's story & was instantly sucked in, nothing else held my attention ALL day. What a ride!! Nina has done it again with this story, finally allowing us to see just a smidgen of who Griff is, introducing us to another amazingly strong lead female with a past of her own. Let's not forget the rest of the Storm men & the ever increasing troubles the MC has, things are heating up majorly there, so much that I can't wait to read what comes next for Storm MC.

'Illusive' is book 6 in the "Storm MC" series, I highly recommend you read this series in order, just because you HAVE to, you want each couples story & the full impact of the storyline. Bring on the next book in the series, I LOVE the magic Nina has weaved into this story, you feel as if your inside, a part of the story, instead of just looking into their lives.

Griff and Sophia's story was wonderful !!! Awesome series

This is Griff's story. He like others of Storm MC carries a deep secret and it rears it's ugly head on a certain day of the year. Madison is having a huge Christmas party and Griff knows he is expected to show up but he just can't do it. One day while sitting having a drink he meets a woman. This woman it turns out lives across from his Aunt. Griff is taken with Sophia and just has to see her. Storm is tryiing to find out who the member is against the club. Once they find out they let the Sydney chapter president King know. The guys are trying to get everything back to some normalcy after Marcus was removed. Scott has a lot to deal with but he knows deep down they will get through it.

I really enjoyed this book since Griff had become a favorite of mine from previous books in the series. I recommend you start with book 1 in this series but I do recommend if you love Romance with a little darkness and Oh so hot Alpha Males grab your copies and get reading.

Gah! Griff's story was hot, engaging, and heartfelt!!

One of the best things about Nina Levine’s writing is that no matter how much you think you know about a character, there are still many more surprises waiting for you. I’ve known for several books now that Griff had secrets that he guarded closely, but I was thrown for a loop when his real story came to light. Griff turned out to be far more complex than I imagined, keeping me captivated as Nina Levine unraveled this man. Sophia is the kind of character you just have to care about, her warm and forgiving personality the ideal counterbalance to Griff’s illusive and distant nature. Illusive is another fantastic book in the Storm MC Series, continuing the unpredictable and chaotic journey of the club and reminding us of all the couples we’ve fallen in love with along the way.

Griff and Sophia have a unique dynamic, unlike any of the previous couples in the series. Opposites in many ways, they proved to be two sides of the same coin. I enjoyed experiencing their personal growth as they helped free each other from the baggage of their pasts. Both have histories that must be faced and they certainly give each other the necessary push to move on and go forward. Although he didn’t speak much, Griff’s beautiful and sweet words made me swoon, while Sophia’s incessant babble kept me grinning. Together, these two were incredibly entertaining. Nina Levine wrote a sizzling chemistry between this couple that had them pushing their personal boundaries and relinquishing control to one another. Griff and Sophia’s relentless flirting, delicious dirty talk, and steam-inducing moments balanced their undeniably intense emotional connection, making their relationship feel genuine and whole.

As always, Nina Levine is driving me crazy with the overarching club storyline. Just when I finally get some answers, she hits me with something new that leaves me desperate for the next book in the series. The club dynamics are just so addictive that I can’t seem to ever get enough. I devoured Illusive, desperate to see where things were headed after Slay. Illusive was well paced, demonstrating equal parts intense, gripping club business and passionate, emotional relationship issues. I loved the cameos of characters from Nina’s spinoff series as well as the return of all my favorite Storm men. Nina Levine really captured the feeling of family with this book, not just within Storm, but with Griff, Sophia, Josie, and Magan as well. Illusive was hot, engaging, and emotionally raw, proving yet again how well Nina can dish out a biker book boyfriend! Bring on Command!

Logical Thinking with Patterns

This is Cuisenaire's companion book to the pattern blocks and it is wonderful! It contains 26 animal problem-solving puzzles, one for each letter of the alphabet. It was fun to figure out what blocks were necessary to cover each animal. This book also comes with directions for 20 activities relating to the animals that involve counting, estimating, sorting, symmetry, sequencing and visual/spatial awareness. This book, for grades 1-3, is a real gem and is reproducible!

This is a very helpful book for my 5 year old. He uses this as part of our math program. It teaches logical thinking and spatial skills. He even used the idea and created animals of his own using the pattern blocks!

An Excellent Aid to Understanding the Arthurian Legends

I submit this review to recommend this Companion as another in the excellent Cambridge series, and in defense of its editor, whose work has been unfairly denigrated by another reviewer (whose critique is shallow, based on mere personal opinion, and in MY opinion is both inexpert and incorrect). I have examined the essays in this volume, and they represent current and competent Arthurian scholarship as of the date of publication--and should be very useful to anyone (including university students) trying to enrich their understanding of the Arthurian literature, its development over time, and many of its central thematic elements. In this context, I will give special attention to the two essays written, or cowritten, by editor Elizabeth Archibald: the general introduction (admirably delivering an overview of the Arthurian literature in compact form) and an essay entitled "Questioning Arthurian Ethics," which discusses the range of treatments of Arthur's character from the 12th century to the present day. Note that this discussion isn't limited to works of the 12th-15th centuries, but traces creative fiction of many kinds authored since that time. Ms Archibald's writing is clear, well-organized, and should be easily digested by any intelligent lay reader or university student. Why anyone would devalue either the editors' or contributors' essays is difficult to understand. I highly recommend this Companion to anyone studying the Arthurian Legends.

Was King Arthur a real person? Maybe he was based loosely on a historical figure from the past?
In The Cambridge Companion To The Arthurian Legend, the editors do not seek to find the real Arthur, because they feel he is an enigma. Many historians and researchers have thought they'd found clues as to who he was and what exact time period he lived in; nevertheless, nothing concrete has been found.
The editors of Archibald and Putter state the goal of this book:

"Our aim is to strike a balance between the descriptive and the analytic, so this companion is divided into two parts. The chronological section shows how the legend evolved from the shadowy Welsh tradition through medieval chronicle and romance and post-medieval skepticism to modern novels, cartoons and films. Here we have concentrated on the Anglophone versions for the post-medieval period. In the thematic section we have chosen themes which seem to us to the key to understanding Arthurian literature; all essays in this section deal with both medieval and post-medieval material, though the main focus is medieval." Page 3.

The Cambridge Companion To The Arthurian Legend, is an academic study of King Arthur, both in medieval history and through to the twenty-first century. Arthur legends appeared in France, Germany, Wales, Greece, and Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
The focus of this book will be on "English traditions."

Pros:
1. I'm a beginner in the study of King Arthur and I learned so much in this book. For example, I did not know Arthurian legends were in other countries. I've heard of Tristan and Iseult and Lancelot (which I presumed was French.) I've not read Mark Twain's satire on King Arthur.
2. I enjoyed reading about the psychology and or dynamics of Lancelot and Guinevere's affair.
3. How religion affected King Arthur stories.
4. Was introduced to early authors of King Arthur and their contributions, for example:
Geoffrey of Monmouth and Sir Thomas Malory,
5. The re-establishment of King Arthur during Victorian era through Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
6. The quest of the Holy Grail.
7. How King Arthur transformed through the centuries.
8. "Ethics" and morality of King Arthur and his knights.

Cons:
1. I loved this book, but I'm interested in this subject and felt drawn to it from the beginning. I believe a person of keen interest in the subject would be most interested.
2. A few times during the later half of book it became dry; but I persevered.

Best PHP Book in the market now.

This is one of the best PHP book now in the market, I can tell if the author is a really technical person as what demonstrated in the video alone, I spent time learning in the video rather than reading it, if you have patient to practice by coding it, that video is better than taking some "in class" lesson, because the application discussed in the video has a complete package. Great book, especially if you're new to PHP and MySql.

Good Book - But not the one stop shop.

I bought this book because of the promise of quality learning through guided tutorials and it's for appreciation of the effort in constructing this book in such a way that i've given it 3 stars. While the book starts off easily enough for a beginner to follow i found that the tutorials were lacking in some detail. When we're adding dynamics to our test website and the '(isset($_GET['xxx']))' request comes up, with no explanations of what isset is, nor what $_GET is - just what it does, which is a fundamental difference when you are trying to learn 'why'.
I still follow the tutorials of this book, however I would recommend that you purchase another tutorial based book on PHP to help you along such as Head First PHP & MySQL, which goes into detail about the 'why', not just the function of the element.
